Howard Schultz was paid $21.7 million in 2010 by Starbucks. This was a raise of $9.6 million over 2009. He is Starbucks’ founder and CEO. This pay package was the highest for a Washington state public company executive in 2010. This was reported in a recent Puget Sound Business Journal articleSchultz has also been in the recent news with his political and charity activities.

His home is on page 21 in LW 130 Homes. It is in Madison Park, south of the high rises, in an exclusive gated community of nine homes that are on the property of the William Garrard Reed estate. (He is the father of Gary Reed [10/1/10 blog post].) Howard drives through the community’s gate and then another gate to his property. His mansion and property, with 16,880 sq ft on 1.8 acres with 248 ft of waterfront, are the largest in community. It is best viewed between this time of year and March.

  1. Love how his house costs so much when he pays most his employees min wage just another example of greed in America.

    1. Schultz is my neighbor here in Seattle. He is one of the most generous people I know. He has given MILLIONS to various charities and the city of Seattle including giving health care to ALL his employees no matter how many hours they work per week. Please refrain from character assassinating those who have done more for human mankind than you.

  2. Howard and Starbucks give jobs to thousands of people. He worked his way from the projects to where he is today. If you have a problem with his status well thats you but if you want to be in his position then work your way up like he did. Starbucks partners are given plenty of opportunities to advance within the company. So before you say bad things about people, better check your info. Easy for people to complain about not making enough money while they sit on their butts waiting for the next hand out.

  3. I have to agree with you completely. Get off your ass and make something of yourself. Quit complaining how much money he makes now after putting in his dues.

  4. Howard is a total douche bag, who sold Seattle out for a couple $$. R.I.P. Supersonics. If I ever see this scum walking the great streets of Seattle I will hock a lugi straight in his ugly NY face!

  5. To those who praise Schultz for all he has done Bravo. To those who do not, sorry you are so uninformed or is it jealousy?
